Role Summary

The Senior Therapeutic Specialist, Cardiovascular Specialty in Ann Arbor, MI drives demand for Bristol Myers Squibb medicines within their portfolio for appropriate patients, engaging Health Care Providers with a differentiated Customer Experience and scientific dialogue in alignment with label. The role builds credibility with regional thought leaders and community-based physicians/HCPs, collaborates cross-functionally to deliver a strong Customer Experience, and spends significant time in the field meeting external customers.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory to meet or exceed sales targets in a compliant manner.
  • Demonstrates scientific expertise using approved resources to present information to HCPs and ensures medical accuracy.
  • Collaborates with other field teams to optimize the Customer Experience for HCPs.
  • Conducts in-office presentations and discusses product-related scientific information consistent with the label.
  • Organizes external speaker programs, selecting speakers from the approved list and facilitating scheduling and logistics.
  • Maintains working expertise on emerging data for approved indications.
  • Engages real-time medical support to address unsolicited questions and complex inquiries.
  • Gathers and shares relevant insights internally to enable better service to customers.
  • Complies with all laws, regulations, and policies governing conduct.

Qualifications

  • Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience in healthcare sales, MSL, HCP, or nursing preferred.
  • Ability to communicate scientific/clinical data accurately to help physicians serve patients.
  • Proven credibility with key customers, office staff, and others in the customer influence network; patient-centric mindset.
  • Experience in cardiovascular care preferred.
  • Strong account management, selling competencies, and track record of meeting or exceeding goals.
  • Ability to work effectively cross-functionally with a positive team mindset and a can-do attitude.
  • Strong selling and promotional skills with a history of performance.
