Position Summary:
- Accountable for the appropriate adoption of BMS assigned Rheumatology portfolio and generating demand via differentiated Customer Experience (Cx) using deep scientific dialog.
- Builds/maintains relationships with National Thought Leaders (NTLs), regional thought leaders (RTLs), and community-based physicians/HCPs as primary point of contact.
- Liaises with other BMS functions to meet HCP needs timely and scientifically; prioritizes safe/appropriate use of BMS products and business performance objectives.
- Field-based role with time spent with external customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Portfolio Promotion
- Promote approved indications within a defined territory/region to meet/exceed assigned sales targets.
- Organize promotional programs (e.g., lunch & learn, speaker programs).
- Create demand by articulating clinical/scientific rationale for appropriate patients.
- Use AI targeting capabilities (CE3) to define call plan.
- Participate in OMNICHANNEL interactions.
- Maintain/grow scientific expertise in assigned products/therapeutic areas.
- Prepare and implement comprehensive territory and account plans.
Fair & Balanced Scientific Dialogue
- Use approved scientific resources/publications; ensure medical accuracy.
- Conduct office presentations consistent with label; discuss emerging data.
- Provide real-time medical support for unsolicited scientific questions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with other field teams to ensure best HCP Customer Experience (Cx).
- Share relevant insights internally to enable better customer service.
- Comply with applicable laws, regulations, and BMS policies.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years in pharmaceutical/biotech experience as healthcare sales/MSL/HCP/nurse.
- Ability to communicate scientific/clinical data convincingly.
- Strong selling and promotional skills; proven account management and sales performance.
- Experience building relationships across the customer influence network.
- Rheumatology experience preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with positive, can-do attitude.
