Role Summary

The Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist (TAS) for Neuroscience – Zeposia is a field-based role that drives demand for BMS medicines within the assigned territory. The TAS engages Health Care Providers with a differentiated scientific dialogue aligned to approved labels, builds credibility with regional thought leaders and community physicians, and collaborates with other BMS functions to deliver a high-quality Customer Experience. The role prioritizes safe and appropriate use of BMS products while achieving business results, spending virtually all time in face-to-face engagements with external customers.

Responsibilities

  • Portfolio Promotion
    Promotes approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory to meet or exceed sales targets in a compliant manner; creates demand by presenting the clinical and scientific rationale for product use; maintains high scientific expertise; prepares and implements comprehensive territory and account plans; uses tools like CE^3 to inform call plans and provide feedback for tool improvement.
  • Fair & Balanced Scientific Dialogue
    Demonstrates scientific expertise using approved resources to present information to HCPs; conducts in-office presentations (e.g., lunch and learns) aligned with the label; organizes external speaker programs and facilitates scheduling/logistics; maintains up-to-date knowledge on emerging data; supports real-time medical inquiries via Medical on Call.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    Collaborates with other field teams to optimize the customer experience; shares insights with internal stakeholders; complies with all laws, regulations, and policies governing conduct.

Qualifications

  • Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech experience in healthcare sales, MSL, HCP, or nursing.
  • Ability to communicate scientific/clinical data accurately to support patient care.
  • Experience building and maintaining credibility with key customers and office staff through a customer-centric approach to create a differentiated Customer Experience (Cx).
  • Neurology experience preferred.
  • Strong account management, selling competencies, and a proven track record of meeting/exceeding goals.
  • Ability to work effectively cross-functionally with a positive, collaborative mindset; strong selling and promotional skills.
