Role Summary
Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist, Neuroscience/MS — Manhattan, NY. A field-based role focused on engaging health care providers with a differentiated scientific dialogue to drive adoption of BMS medicines for appropriate patients, building credibility with regional thought leaders and community-based physicians/HCPs, and delivering a high-quality Customer Experience while prioritizing safe and appropriate use of products.
Responsibilities
- Portfolio Promotion: Promotes approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory to meet or exceed sales targets, articulating the clinical and scientific rationale for use in appropriate patients.
- Fair & Balanced Scientific Dialogue: Demonstrates scientific expertise using approved resources, conducts in-office presentations, organizes external speaker programs, and maintains up-to-date knowledge; provides accurate medical information aligned with labeling; engages Medical on Call for complex inquiries.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborates with other field teams to ensure the best Customer Experience and shares insights with internal stakeholders; complies with laws, regulations, and policies.
Qualifications
- Required: Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience as healthcare sales, MSL, HCP, or nurse.
- Required: Ability to communicate scientific or clinical data accurately and convincingly to help physicians best serve their patients.
- Required: Demonstrated credibility with key customers, office staff, and others in the customer influence network; a customer-centric mindset to create a positive and differentiated Customer Experience.
- Preferred: Experience in Neurology.
- Preferred: Demonstrated account management skills, strong selling competencies, and a track record of meeting or exceeding goals.
- Preferred: Ability to work effectively cross-functionally with a positive team mindset.
- Preferred: Proficiency with CE^3 or similar tools for insights and dynamic call planning.

Additional Requirements
- Field-based role requiring travel to visit healthcare professionals and other stakeholders; 100% field time with external customers.
- Company-provided vehicle; driving eligibility requirements include at least 21 years of age, a driver's license in good standing, and a driving risk level deemed acceptable by the Company.
