Role Summary

The TAS is a critical role in our unique customer model to execute the BMS aspiration to be the BioPharma that delivers the most impactful engagement with Health Care Providers (HCPs), driving adoption of new and existing medicines for appropriate patients. The primary role is to drive demand for BMS medicines within their portfolio for the appropriate patients, engaging HCPs with a differentiated Customer Experience (Cx) through deeper scientific dialogue and using CE^3. The role builds credibility with regional thought leaders and community-based physicians/HCPs as the primary point of contact, and liaises with other BMS functions to deliver an elevated Cx while prioritizing safe and appropriate use of BMS products and achieving business results. This position is field-based and is expected to spend 100% of time in the field with external customers.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory or region to meet or exceed sales targets in a compliant manner.
  • Creates demand for BMS medicines by articulating the clinical and scientific rationale for use in appropriate patients.
  • Maintains and grows a high level of scientific expertise in all assigned products and therapeutic areas.
  • Prepares and implements comprehensive territory and account plans.
  • Proactively uses tools such as CE^3 to derive insights and inform call plans, providing feedback to leadership for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience as healthcare sales / MSL / HCP / nurse.
  • Ability to communicate scientific or clinical data accurately to help physicians best serve their patients.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain credibility with key customers and office staff via a customer-centric mindset to create positive Cx.
  • Experience in Psychiatry preferred.
  • Strong account management skills, proven sales performance, and ability to work cross-functionally with a positive team mindset.
  • Strong selling and promotional skills with a track record of achieving goals.

Education

  • Advanced scientific degree preferred.

Additional Requirements

  • Requires operation of a company-provided vehicle; driving eligibility criteria include being at least 21 years old, possessing a valid driver’s license, and an acceptable driving risk level as determined by the company.
  • Field-based role with travel to meet HCPs and stakeholders in the patient care continuum.
