Position Summary
- Field-based Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist (TAS) driving demand and adoption of Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS) medicines through differentiated Customer Experience (Cx) and deeper, label-consistent scientific dialogue with HCPs.
- Primary point of contact for regional thought leaders and community-based physicians/HCPs; collaborates cross-functionally to meet HCP needs in a timely, scientific manner. Anticipated 100% time in the field.
Key Responsibilities
- Portfolio Promotion: Promote approved indications in a defined territory to meet/exceed compliant sales targets; create demand by explaining clinical/scientific rationale; maintain/grow scientific expertise; implement territory/account plans; use CE^3 insights to inform call plans.
- Fair & Balanced Scientific Dialogue: Present approved scientific resources; conduct in-office presentations; organize external speaker programs; stay current on emerging data; respond to unsolicited questions/technical inquiries via Medical on Call.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with field teams; share insights internally.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years pharmaceutical/biotech experience in healthcare sales/MSL/HCP/nurse.
- Ability to communicate clinical/scientific data accurately.
- Proven credibility-building with customers and strong account management/selling with track record meeting/exceeding goals.
- Demonstrated cross-functional effectiveness.
- Strong selling and promotional skills.
Preferred
- Cardiovascular experience.
