Position Summary
- The TAS (Therapeutic Area Specialist) drives demand for BMS medicines within their portfolio for appropriate patients by delivering differentiated Customer Experience (Cx) through deeper, label-consistent scientific dialogue.
- Builds and maintains credibility with regional thought leaders and community-based physicians/HCPs, and liaises with other BMS functions to meet HCP needs in a timely and scientific manner.
- Field based; anticipated to spend 100% of time in the field with external customers.

Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Promotion
- Promote approved indications within a defined territory/region to meet/exceed assigned sales targets compliantly.
- Create demand by articulating the clinical/scientific rationale for use in appropriate patients.
- Maintain and grow scientific expertise in assigned products and therapeutic areas.
- Prepare and implement comprehensive territory and account plans.
- Use tools such as CE^3 (once implemented) to derive insights, inform call plans, and provide feedback to leadership for continuous improvement.

Fair & Balanced Scientific Dialogue
- Use approved scientific resources/publications to present information to HCPs; ensure medical accuracy.
- Conduct in-office presentations (e.g., lunch and learns) consistent with label.
- Organize external speaker programs (select speakers from approved list; manage scheduling/logistics).
- Maintain expertise on emerging data for approved indications.
- Provide real-time medical support via Medical on Call to answer unsolicited questions and complex technical inquiries.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with other field teams to ensure best Customer Experience (Cx) for HCPs.
- Gather and share insights internally with appropriate stakeholders.

Compliance
- Comply with all laws, regulations, and policies governing BMS conduct.

Required Qualifications & Experience
- Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years pharmaceutical/biotechnology experience as healthcare sales/MSL/HCP/nurse.
- Ability to communicate scientific/clinical data accurately and convincingly.
- Demonstrated credibility with key customers and office staff via a customer-centric mindset.
- Cardiovascular experience preferred.
- Strong account management, selling competencies, and proven record meeting/exceeding goals.
- Ability to work effectively cross-functionally with a positive, can-do attitude.
- Strong selling and promotional skills.

Compensation & Benefits (as stated)
- Field (United States): $124,090 - $150,370; additional incentive cash/stock opportunities may be available (based on eligibility).
