Role Summary

Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist, Cardiovascular Community - Oregon. Field-based role focused on driving demand for BMS medicines within the cardiovascular portfolio, engaging Health Care Providers with scientific dialogue and a differentiated customer experience to meet patient needs.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory to meet or exceed sales targets in a compliant manner.
  • Creates demand by articulating the clinical and scientific rationale for product use in appropriate patients.
  • Maintains and updates deep scientific expertise across assigned products and therapeutic areas; prepares and implements territory/account plans.
  • Uses tools like CE^3 to generate insights and inform call plans; provides feedback to leadership for continuous improvement.
  • Conducts scientific dialogue with HCPs, delivers in-office presentations and organizes external speaker programs while ensuring medical accuracy and consistency with label.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of emerging data for approved indications; supports real-time medical questions via Medical on Call.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally to deliver an optimal Customer Experience and shares insights with stakeholders.
  • Complies with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies.

Qualifications

  • Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience in healthcare sales / MSL / HCP / nurse.
  • Ability to communicate scientific/clinical data accurately to support patient care.
  • Experience building credibility with key customers and delivering a differentiated Customer Experience.
  • Experience in cardiovascular preferred; strong account management, selling competencies, and track record of meeting/exceeding goals.
  • Ability to work effectively cross-functionally with a positive team mindset and high integrity.

Skills

  • Customer/commercial mindset with ability to drive business results and tailor engagement along the patient journey.
  • Patient centricity and scientific agility in presenting data to HCPs.
  • Analytical capability to analyze prescribing patterns, market trends, and HCP preferences; ability to segment HCPs.
  • Digital agility to use CE^3, CRM tools, and various digital communication channels; proficient with Medical on Call technology.
  • Teamwork and enterprise mindset with learning agility and integrity.

Education

  • Advanced scientific degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Additional Requirements

  • Operation of a company-provided vehicle; must meet Qualified Driver requirements (age, valid license, acceptable driving risk level).
  • Field-based occupancy; ability to travel to visit customers, patients, or partners; onsite presence as required by role design.
