Role Summary

Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist, Cardiovascular Community, CV Colorado S, CO. Field-based role focused on driving demand for BMS medicines within the cardiovascular portfolio, engaging Health Care Providers with a differentiated, science-driven customer experience, and promoting appropriate use of products.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory or region to meet or exceed assigned sales targets in a compliant manner.
  • Creates demand for BMS medicines by articulating the clinical and scientific rationale for use of products in appropriate patients.
  • Engages with and maintains a high level of scientific expertise in all assigned products and therapeutic areas.
  • Prepares and implements comprehensive territory and account plans.
  • Proactively uses tools to derive insights and inform call plans; provide feedback to leadership to enable continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrates scientific expertise and presents information to HCPs with medical accuracy; conducts in-office presentations and discusses product-related scientific information consistent with label.
  • Organizes external speaker programs and facilitates scheduling and logistics; maintains knowledge of emerging data for approved indications.
  • Engages real-time medical support to answer unsolicited questions and complex inquiries.
  • Collaborates with other field teams to ensure the best Customer Experience for HCPs and shares insights with internal stakeholders.
  • Complies with all laws, regulations, and policies governing conduct.

Qualifications

  • Advanced scientific degree and/or preferred 5+ years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience as healthcare sales / MSL / HCP / nurse.
  • Ability to communicate scientific/clinical data accurately to help physicians serve patients.
  • Experience building credibility with key customers and a customer-centric mindset to create a differentiated Customer Experience.
  • Experience in cardiovascular required.
  • Strong account management, selling competencies, and track record of meeting/exceeding goals.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with a positive, collaborative attitude.
  • Strong selling and promotional skills with a proven performance record.

  • Customer/commercial mindset with ability to drive business results and engage across the patient care journey.
  • Patient centricity and understanding of patient journey and experience.
  • Scientific agility with ability to stay current with latest data and clearly articulate data to HCPs.
  • Analytical capability to analyze prescribing patterns, market trends, and HCP preferences; data-driven call planning.
  • Technological agility in using CE^3, CRM tools, and digital channels to engage with HCPs.
  • Teamwork and enterprise mindset with integrity and sound judgment.

Education

  • Advanced scientific degree or equivalent experience.

Additional Requirements

  • Field-based occupancy; 100% time in the field with external customers.
  • Ability to operate a Company-provided vehicle; valid driver's license and other driver requirements as determined by the Company.
