Position Summary:
TAS (Therapeutic Area Specialist) is a field-based role that drives demand for BMS medicines by engaging HCPs through differentiated Customer Experience (Cx), deeper scientific dialogue consistent with label, leveraging new ways of working and CE^3.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote approved indications within a defined territory/region to meet/exceed assigned sales targets compliantly.
- Create demand using balanced clinical/scientific rationale for appropriate patients.
- Maintain/grow scientific expertise across assigned products/therapeutic areas.
- Build and execute comprehensive territory and account plans.
- Use CE^3 to derive insights and dynamically inform call plans; provide feedback to leadership.
- Present approved scientific information to HCPs (e.g., lunch & learns) consistent with label; ensure medical accuracy.
- Organize external speaker programs (Speakers Bureau-approved lists, scheduling/logistics).
- Stay current on emerging data for approved indications.
- Use Medical on Call to answer unsolicited and complex technical inquiries.
- Collaborate with other field teams; share insights internally.
- Comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and BMS policies.
Required Qualifications:
- Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years pharmaceutical/biotech experience in healthcare sales/MSL/HCP/nurse.
- Ability to communicate scientific/clinical data accurately.
- Proven credibility with customers and desire to deliver differentiated Cx.
- Cardiovascular experience preferred.
- Account management, selling, and track record of meeting/exceeding goals.
- Cross-functional effectiveness with positive, can-do mindset.
