Role Summary
Senior Specialty Representative - Respiratory – Chicago South, IL. In this role you will be the primary contact for medical professionals, providing clinical knowledge of Amgen products and helping navigate the payer environment. You will implement marketing strategies under the direction of the District Manager and promote products to drive appropriate utilization while supporting patient access.
Responsibilities
- Perform as a sales leader to achieve territory sales by delivering branded sales messages, conducting planned programs, scheduling and following up with medical educational programs, and achieving or exceeding sales targets through in-person and virtual engagement
- Provide current and comprehensive knowledge of Amgen's products and effectively communicate the clinical benefits to medical professionals to drive appropriate utilization
- Develop relationships to service and manage accounts, including customizing discussions and interactions based on customer needs, ensuring product access, resolving/triage reimbursement issues, and maintaining product contracts
- Provide feedback on marketing strategy, analyze the business effectiveness of sales activities and territory analysis, and develop territory plans with the District Manager
- Partner with other colleagues to share best practices and learn and grow as a Senior Specialty Representative
- Demonstrate passion for our products and sustain that passion through the entire sales cycle while building the brand and focusing on serving patients

Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device industry or hospital sales experience OR
- Required: Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device industry or hospital sales experience OR
- Required: High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device industry or hospital sales experience
- Preferred: 3 years sales, marketing and/or clinical experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, diagnostics, healthcare insurance, pharmacy services, healthcare medical device or medical supply industries
- Preferred: Product or sales experience in specialty sales, preferably respiratory
- Preferred: Advanced influencing and relationship-building skills with a focus on sales outcomes
- Preferred: Local Market knowledge
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration
