Role Summary

Senior Specialty Representative for Primary Care in Nashville, TN. Acts as the primary customer contact, delivering clinical knowledge of Amgen products to medical professionals and promoting products under the guidance of the District Manager. Responsible for implementing marketing strategy, achieving territory sales, and maintaining relationships to ensure product access and reimbursement where applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Provide current and comprehensive clinical knowledge of Amgen's products and communicate clinical and economic benefits to medical professionals
  • Lead territory sales by delivering branded messages, implementing planned programs, organizing medical educational events, and achieving or exceeding sales targets
  • Utilize relationships to service and manage accounts, ensure product access, resolve reimbursement issues, and maintain product contracts
  • Analyze sales activities and territory performance; develop territory plans with the District Manager
  • Maintain passion for products throughout the sales cycle and uphold the brand to serve patients
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and pursue continuous learning to grow in the role
  • Apply knowledge of disease states, industry, regulatory, and competitive changes to deliver results

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelorโ€™s degree and 3 years of sales or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field not sales-related; or Associate degree and 6 years of sales or clinical experience; or High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales or clinical experience
  • Preferred: Three or more years of sales experience in pharmaceutical/biotech/medical device; product or hospital sales in oncology, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, inflammation, cardiology, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, or infectious diseases; local market knowledge; established relationships in the territory

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree (life sciences or business administration) or equivalent in related fields
