Role Summary

Senior Specialty Representative for Primary Care in Cookeville, TN. Acts as the primary customer contact, delivering clinical knowledge of Amgen products and promoting branded messages as directed by the District Manager. Builds and maintains relationships with medical professionals to support territory sales and patient access.

Responsibilities

  • Provide current and comprehensive clinical knowledge of Amgen's products and effectively communicate their clinical and economic benefits to medical professionals
  • Lead territory sales by delivering branded sales messages, implementing planned programs, scheduling and following up with medical educational programs, and achieving or exceeding sales targets
  • Utilize internal and external relationships to service and manage accounts, ensuring product access, resolving reimbursement issues, and maintaining product contracts
  • Analyze the business effectiveness of sales activities and territory performance; develop territory plans with the District Manager
  • Maintain passion for products throughout the sales cycle and reinforce the brand while focusing on serving patients
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and pursue continuous learning to grow as a Senior Specialty Representative
  • Leverage awareness of disease state trends, industry, regulatory, and competitive changes to deliver results

Qualifications

    Required:
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree and 3 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field that is not sales related OR
  • Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field that is not sales related OR
  • High school diploma / GED and 8 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field that is not sales related
    Preferred:
  • Three or more years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device industries; product or hospital sales experience in oncology, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, inflammation, cardiology, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, or infectious diseases
  • Local market knowledge and established relationships in the territory
  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration

Education

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience (see Required Qualifications)
