Role Summary
Senior Specialty Representative - Inflammation/Rheumatology, Charlotte, NC. Primary customer contact responsible for delivering clinical knowledge of Amgen products, promoting products as directed by the District Manager, and achieving territory sales in the inflammation/rheumatology space.
Responsibilities
- Provide current and comprehensive clinical knowledge of Amgen's products and effectively communicate clinical and economic benefits to medical professionals
- Lead to achieve territory sales by delivering branded sales messages, implementing planned programs, scheduling and following up with medical educational programs, and meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Utilize internal and external relationships to service and manage accounts, ensure product access, resolve/triage reimbursement issues, and maintain product contracts
- Analyze the business effectiveness of sales activities and territory performance, and develop territory plans with the District Manager
- Maintain passion for our products throughout the sales cycle and continually reinforce the brand in service of patients
- Partner with colleagues to share best practices and foster continuous learning and growth
- Leverage knowledge of disease state awareness, industry, regulatory, and competitive changes to deliver agreed results
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device industry or hospital sales experience
- Required: Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device industry or hospital sales experience
- Required: High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device industry or hospital sales experience
- Preferred: Three or more years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device industry product or hospital sales experience
- Preferred: Experience in rheumatology, inflammation, and related diseases and treatments
- Preferred: Hunter sales experience outside pharma
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration
