Role Summary
Senior Specialty Account Specialist - Respiratory in Cincinnati, OH. Provides scientific knowledge, business acumen, and customer engagement to specialist customers in support of a GSK biologic product; develops and implements strategies to generate sales; builds and maintains relationships with Marketing, Payer Relations, Medical, and other internal teams; ensures compliant, high-quality customer service.
Responsibilities
- Provide Scientific Knowledge, Business Acumen, and Customer Engagement expertise to specialist customers in support of a GSK biologic product.
- Understand the reimbursement/distribution landscape for specialist customers and refer to appropriate resources (e.g., Payer Relations Managers, HUB, approved materials) for reimbursement and distribution decisions, within GSK guidelines and values.
- Maintain current knowledge of severe asthma therapeutic expertise.
- Provide product educational programs/in-services to customers.
- Work within Compliance guidelines and GSK values.
- Develop strategies and tactics to generate sales.
- Develop and implement customer-specific strategies within accounts (e.g., Allergists, Pulmonologists, nurses, PAs, office managers).
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Marketing, Payer Relations (Market Access), Medical (MSLs), and other functions within GSK.
- Effectively manage allocated resources (financial).
- Provide outstanding customer service by responding to customer requests and inquiries.
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor’s degree
- Required: Ability to travel domestically as necessary, which in some territories may include overnight travel up to 30%
- Required: Valid driver’s license
- Required: Must be able and willing to drive or operate a vehicle – driving is an essential function of this role
- Required: The selected candidate will be hired at the appropriate level based on experience
- Required: Specialty Account Specialist (grade 8): 5+ years of pharmaceutical/medical device sales experience
- Required: Senior Specialty Account Specialist (grade 7): 12+ years of pharmaceutical/medical device sales experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Specialty Products that utilize Buy & Bill or Specialty pharmacy distribution modes
- Expertise in working with Payer Reimbursement Managers
- Biologic/Rare Disease/Respiratory Sales experience
- Experience selling in IDN Systems
Education
