Senior Specialist, Scientific Compliance I

Ensure GxP compliance to AbbVie policies/processes/procedures, global regulatory requirements, and industry guidelines. Remain current with major compliance trends and their application within the biopharmaceutical industry. Proactively evaluate organizational compliance needs and opportunities to improve efficiency and productivity.

Responsibilities:
- Adhere to codes of conduct and ethical principles; ensure compliance with applicable AbbVie policies and procedures.
- Use systems, documents, and tools to provide compliance support for centralized business function processes.
- Manage compliance and process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and compliance.
- Anticipate and respond to unexpected occurrences and business needs with suggested solutions.
- Identify and escalate potential compliance risks; recommend and implement practical solutions.
- Work in a team-based, cross-functional environment; provide input to develop/shape quality system and corporate policy.
- Independently manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adjust rapidly to significant changes.
- Provide input to regulatory and compliance requirements/expectations.
- May supervise contract personnel.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (scientific field preferred).
- Typically 10 years (Bachelor’s), 8 years (Master’s), or 1 year (PhD) of related GxP industry experience.
- Experience working in R&D environment preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; strong business/technical communication.
- Strong organizational/time management skills; attention to detail.
- Customer-oriented; builds strong within-team and cross-functional relationships.
- Experience with various disciplines and global teams in fast-paced environments.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills.
