Senior Specialist, Restricted Substances

Role: Manage restricted substances management (RSM) regulatory compliance for pharmaceutical, device, and cosmetic products at AbbVie. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing strategies for global chemical regulations such as EU REACH, EU RoHS, Conflict Minerals, and others; overseeing compliance throughout product lifecycle and new product introduction; collaborating with internal teams and external suppliers to gather supporting data; and maintaining documentation and processes to ensure consistency across sites. Qualifications: Bachelor’s in a science or technical field; 8+ years in chemical regulatory management within pharma or related industries; strong knowledge of global restricted substances regulations; proven leadership, communication, and program management skills; proficient with Microsoft Office.
