Senior Specialist, Quantitative Pharmacology and Pharmacometrics - Cardiometabolic and Ophthalmic Diseases

Responsibilities:
- Develop model-based strategies (translational PK/PD, mechanistic models, POPPK/PD, clinical trial simulations) to inform and optimize drug discovery and all phases of development (dose selection, clinical trial design, go/no-go decisions).
- Represent QP2 across cardiometabolic and ophthalmology discovery, early, and late clinical development teams using quantitative approaches.
- Collaborate with internal functions and external vendors/partners on study design, protocol development, execution, and reporting/interpretation of data.

Required Qualifications:
- Ph.D. (or equivalent) OR PharmD (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience OR MS (or equivalent) with 4+ years’ experience in pharmaceutical drug development, regulatory agency work, or academia with increasing responsibility/independence.
- Education in biopharmaceutics/pharmaceutical sciences/pharmacometics/chemical or biomedical engineering or related field.
- Experience with population PK and PK/PD analyses using pharmacometrics software (e.g., NONMEM, Monolix, Phoenix, etc.).
- Strong written/verbal communication, interdisciplinary collaboration, and problem scoping/planning.

Preferred:
- Knowledge of cardiometabolic and/or ophthalmology clinical development programs.
- Skills in experimental design, mathematical problem-solving, critical data analysis/interpretation, and statistics.
- Understanding of biopharmaceutical and ADME properties of small molecules and/or biologics.
