Senior Specialist, Planner-Buyer
Responsibilities:
- Execute material planning, ordering, and coordination of material release requirements for Devens Manufacturing facilities; support production and tech transfers.
- Analyze material inventory; maintain safety stocks and inventory projections.
- Provide input into weekly material priorities with cross-functional site teams.
- Create purchase requisitions and purchase orders in SAP; place orders, expedite deliveries as needed.
- Review/prioritize/schedule delivery of raw materials & consumables to meet target dates and prevent shortages.
- Assess material risk; collaborate on mitigations; escalate as required.
- Support plant quality systems for material-related issues (Change Controls, Deviations, assessments, CAPA) as needed.
- Participate in projects (e.g., tech transfers, SAP improvements) and lead continuous improvement to improve KPIs.
- Assist in developing/forecasting; review with procurement to share with vendor.
Qualifications & Experience:
- B.S. in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or science-related discipline.
- 3–5+ years in Supply Chain or Manufacturing in a complex manufacturing environment (production control/process orders or equivalent).
- Biologics manufacturing experience/knowledge (preferred).
- New product introduction experience (strongly preferred).
- SAP knowledge (strongly preferred).
- Customer-service mindset; attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities to ambitious timelines.
