Senior Specialist, New Product Introductions (Direct Materials Procurement—New Product Introduction)
Responsibilities:
- Support strategic sourcing between R&D and Manufacturing for new pipeline products.
- Collect, deliver, track, analyze, model, and manage data for strategic initiatives (Small/Large Molecules; bioconjugates; antibody drug conjugates).
- Build and execute sourcing strategy with market trend analysis; support launch + 2 years.
- Support procurement objectives: product sourcing, supply risk management, supplier performance improvement, cost reduction, supplier development, working capital improvement, supplier relationship management.
- Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Procure-to-Pay, internal stakeholders, and suppliers.
- Conduct market/supplier analysis; build cost models/purchase price analysis; perform portfolio/supplier preferencing/day-one sourcing analysis.
- Prepare category spend/savings/compliance reporting (incl. SAP); support budget/profit planning.
- Create and execute RFIs/RFPs/e-Auctions; plan negotiations and follow through.
- Perform risk assessment and mitigation within the supply base.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Science, Supply Chain or Procurement.
- 2+ years relevant pharmaceutical industry experience.
- Advanced data analytics/reporting; strong project management; proficient Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint/Word.
- Strong verbal/written communication; able to work across enterprise initiatives; influence external partners; independent and adaptable.
Preferred:
- Fortune 500/pharma experience; cost modeling; MS Teams/SharePoint; PowerBI/data visualization; Excel large datasets; managing external relationships; data collection methods.
