Senior Software Technical Product Manager

Role: Senior Software Technical Product Manager for Illumina's instrument platforms, overseeing the full product lifecycle of genomics instrument software to enable advancements in healthcare and research. Responsibilities: define and drive product roadmaps; translate user workflows into system requirements; collaborate with cross-disciplinary engineering teams to develop, release, and improve instrument software; create detailed specifications and visualizations; support VOC efforts and competitive analysis; identify risks and recommend mitigations. Requirements: Bachelor's in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Bioinformatics or related; 4-7 years in system analysis, design, and integration within instrument or embedded systems; experience with IoT, edge computing, hardware/firmware/software integration; familiarity with medical device development, risk analysis, and regulatory standards (IEC 62304, FDA); strong communication skills and proficiency with enterprise tools (Jama, Jira, Confluence).
