Senior Software Engineer

Role Summary

Senior Full Stack Developer responsible for designing, developing, deploying complex software applications, and mentoring junior developers as part of the Global Commercial Digital Innovation team. You will contribute to both front-end and back-end development using cloud technology, working with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and maintainable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Possesses strong rapid prototyping skills and can quickly translate concepts into working code
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
• Take ownership of complex software projects from conception to deployment. Manage software delivery scope, risk, and timeline
• Contribute to both front-end and back-end development using cloud technology.
• Develop innovative solutions leveraging advanced data-driven algorithms and computational techniques.
• Define and implement robust software architectures on the cloud, AWS preferred
• Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
• Create and maintain documentation on software architecture, design, deployment, disaster recovery, and operations.
• Identify and resolve technical challenges effectively.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements
• Work closely with product team, business team, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Required: Doctorate degree
• Required: Master’s degree and 2 years of software development experience
• Required: Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of software development experience
• Required: Associate’s degree and 8 years of software development experience
• Required: High school diploma / GED and 10 years of software development experience
• Required: Hands on experience with various cloud services, understand pros and cons of various cloud service in well architected cloud design principles
• Required: Hands on experience with Full Stack software development. Proficient in programming language Python(preferred), JavaScript(including ReactJS), SQL/NoSQL.
• Required: Strong problem solving, analytical skills; Ability to learn quickly; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Preferred: Experienced with API integration, serverless, microservices architecture.
• Preferred: Experience in SQL/NOSQL database, vector database for large language models
• Preferred: Experience with Web site development, understand of web site localization processes, which involve adapting content to fit cultural and linguistic contexts.
• Preferred: Experience with popular large language models
• Preferred: Experience with Langchain or llamaIndex framework for language models; Experience with prompt engineering, model fine tuning
• Preferred: Experience with DevOps CICD build and deployment pipeline
• Preferred: Experience with design patterns, data structures, test-driven development
• Preferred: Knowledge of latest techniques for text analysis and sentiment analysis

Education

• Cloud Computing certificate preferred
