Set Up Mechanic II (Packaging)
Schedule: 12-hour rotating shift, 6:00 PM–6:30 AM.
Essential Functions / Responsibilities:
- Follow GMP, SOP, and safety/OSHA/FDA requirements.
- Perform emergency/unscheduled repairs and minor troubleshooting of electrical/mechanical issues.
- Support packaging changeovers: confirm schedule with Operations; clean/install change parts; set up bottle unscrambler/capper and adjust guide rails.
- Verify and adjust slat counter and powder filler setup/parameters (HMI).
- Set up/operate label machine, induction seal machine, outsert machine, and cap torque per PBR.
- Assist with line/equipment qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ) and special projects.
- Maintain fast-moving spare part inventory; perform preventative maintenance.
- Use knowledge of Track & Trace (label machine, 360 station, aggregation, pallet station).
- Set automatic cap rejection center (high/crooked/no cap foil) per bottle size.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School or GED (Required)
- Experience: 5+ years machine maintenance in manufacturing and/or pharmaceuticals.
Skills:
- Attention to detail; read/write/communicate job terminology.
- Comprehend and follow written/verbal instructions.
Additional Requirements:
- Flexible for extended hours.
- Successful completion of OSHA-compliant Respirator Fit Test.
Compensation: $28.00–$38.00/hour; short-term incentive (bonus/performance award) and long-term incentive (restricted stock units) within 12 months.
