Set Up Mechanic II (Packaging)
Responsibilities:
- Serve as subject matter expert for packaging equipment; perform set-up, changeovers, troubleshooting, and efficient operation while following safety protocols.
- Follow GMP/SOP; comply with safety/OSHA/FDA regulations; perform emergency/unscheduled repairs; conduct minor electrical/mechanical troubleshooting.
- Coordinate with Operations on packaging schedule and changeovers; clean/install change parts; set up bottle unscrambler/capper and adjust guide rails to bottle size.
- Check/adjust slat counter and powder filler setup parameters via HMI.
- Set up and operate label machine, induction seal machine, outset machine, and cap torque per PBR.
- Assist maintenance on special projects; support line/equipment qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ).
- Maintain inventory of fast-moving spare parts.
- Use knowledge of Track & Trace systems (label machine, 360 station, aggregation/pallet station).
- Perform preventive maintenance as scheduled.
- Set automatic cap rejection centers (high/crooked and no cap foil) per bottle size.
Qualifications:
- High School or GED (Required)
- 5+ years in manufacturing/pharmaceutical maintenance/repair
Compensation/Benefits (as stated):
- $29.00–$38.00/hour; short-term incentive opportunity within first 12 months.
