Set Up mechanic II will serve as the subject matter expert for their packaging resource. Daily duties include setup, changeover, troubleshooting, and efficient operation of packaging equipment while adhering to safety protocols. Responsible for specialized maintenance, repair, and reliability of packaging and filling machinery. Support other business areas as required/assigned.
Essential Functions:
- Follow GMP and SOP guidelines. Comply with safety/OSHA/FDA regulations. Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs on packaging equipment. Perform minor troubleshooting of electrical/mechanical issues.
- Coordinate with operations on packaging schedule and changeovers. Ensure change parts are clean (as required) and install change parts. Set up bottle unscrambler/capper machine and adjust guide rails per bottle size.
- Check setup of slat counter and powder fillers; verify/adjust parameters in HMI as required.
- Set up and operate label machine, induction seal machine, outset machine, and set cap torque per PBR.
- Assist maintenance staff on special projects; support line/equipment qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ).
- Check and maintain inventory of fast-moving spare parts.
- Have knowledge of Track and Trace system on label machine, 360 station, aggregation, and pallet station.
- Perform preventative maintenance as required/scheduled.
- Set automatic cap rejection center for high/crooked and no cap foil rejection per bottle size.

Qualifications:
- Education: High School or GED (Required)
- Experience: 5+ years in manufacturing/pharmaceutical maintenance repair (Required)
- Hourly rate: $29.00β$38.00/hour; short-term incentive opportunity within first 12 months.
