Role Purpose
- Serve as the primary ServiceNow Platform Architect for a designated process domain (e.g., HSRD, Source2Pay, LSD). Own design, delivery, sustainability, and operational readiness of scalable, secure enterprise ServiceNow solutions.

Core Accountabilities
- End-to-end platform architecture and configuration decisions aligned to enterprise standards and long-term strategy; configuration-first approach; justify customizations with cost/benefit and upgrade impact.
- Create architecture diagrams/design docs/acceptance criteria; participate in design reviews/sprint ceremonies.
- Implement reusable, testable server-side logic (Business Rules, Script Includes); author maintainable code and automated tests.
- Design and maintain ACLs/role/group strategies using least-privilege; support performance, audit readiness, and separation of duties; partner with security/compliance.
- Ensure upgrade readiness by refactoring/removing risky custom logic; support upgrade planning/testing/remediation.
- Act as ServiceNow SME; support backlog refinement, complex incident resolution, architectural guidance; mentor developers.

Required Experience & Skills
- 7+ years hands-on ServiceNow platform architecture/design/implementation (not delegated).
- Proven Business Rules, Script Includes, and ACLs in governed environments.
- Strong functional knowledge in at least one ServiceNow process area (e.g., HSRD, Source2Pay, LSD).
- Demonstrated judgment balancing performance, security, maintainability, and upgrade impact.
- Strong communication; ready to discuss real-world design/implementation examples.

Strongly Preferred
- 2+ current ServiceNow certifications (CIS-ITSM/CMDB/ITOM, CAD, CSA).
- Experience planning/executing major ServiceNow upgrades and remediating upgrade issues.

Interview Expectations
- Present 2–3 designed ServiceNow solutions (problem, architecture, tradeoffs, security/ACLs, upgradeability).
