Responsibilities:
- Design, execute, and integrate transporter-related in vitro and preclinical studies supporting drug discovery and development.
- Generate high-quality in vitro transporter data and support project teams across therapeutic areas.
- Develop and apply innovative in vitro/preclinical models and translational strategies to quantitatively predict transporter-mediated ADME, drug-drug interactions (DDIs), efficacy, toxicity, and enzyme-transporter interplay.
- Collaborate across the DMPK network and with partners in Medicinal Chemistry, Biology, Data Science, Clinical Research, and Toxicology.

Education:
- PhD (or equivalent) in a relevant field (Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Biology) with 2–5+ years relevant experience.
- OR MS (or equivalent) with 8–10+ years relevant experience.

Required experience/skills:
- In vitro drug transporter studies (substrate phenotyping and inhibition assays) using recombinant cell lines, vesicles, primary hepatocytes, or comparable systems.
- Cell culture and execution of experiments per established protocols; ability to design novel experiments.
- Data analysis (e.g., GraphPad Prism) and strong interpretation.
- Prepare high-quality reports for regulatory submissions.
- Knowledge of drug transporters, pharmacokinetic principles, enzyme kinetics, and mechanistic DDIs.
- Strong written/oral communication; independent work with guidance; mentor/guide junior scientists.

Preferred:
- In vitro transporter kinetic studies and extrapolation to quantitative prediction of transporter-mediated disposition and DDIs.
- Mechanistic modeling using in vitro data; ADME knowledge for small molecules; critical review of transporter/ADME literature.
- Basic radiometric or LC/MS quantitation knowledge.
