Senior Scientist, Translational Research (Oncology TRC)

Role: Senior Scientist in Oncology Translational Research at Bristol Myers Squibb, focusing on early-stage discovery and translational studies to inform clinical development. Responsibilities include developing and applying biomarker, pharmacodynamic, and target engagement assays; utilizing techniques such as flow cytometry, multiplexed assays, ELISA, MSD, Luminex, and functional genomics tools (CRISPR, RNAi); and conducting in vitro models, including patient-derived cultures, to explore drug mechanisms, resistance, and indication selection. The role requires designing experiments, analyzing data, and collaborating with project teams and external laboratories to advance candidates from optimization through IND-enabling stages. Qualifications: Ph.D. in Life Sciences with 2+ years of industry or academic experience, or Master’s/Bachelor’s with relevant experience. Proficiency in flow cytometry, human blood biomarker assays, and biomarker-focused laboratory work is essential. Preferred skills include experience with cell-based assays, tumor organoids, and ex vivo models. The candidate must demonstrate independent experimental execution, scientific communication skills, and project management capability.
