Responsibilities:
- Serve as PK/PD modeler in cross-functional teams to make model-informed decisions on drug discovery, modality selection, and dose prediction.
- Integrate in vitro and in vivo data to build PK/PD, PBPK, QSP, or other mechanistic modeling platforms for forward/reverse translation for established and novel targets.
- Collaborate to design experimental studies and modeling plans to identify and optimize drug candidates.
- Help design automated workflows implementing modeling platforms to support human PK/PD and dose projections.
- With guidance, develop translational modeling expertise and leadership in drug discovery.
Qualifications:
- Education: Masterβs (3+ years), PharmD (1 year), or Ph.D. in pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics, mathematics/applied math, systems/computational biology, chemical/biomedical engineering, statistics/biostatistics, or related field; increasing responsibility/independence in drug discovery/development.
Required Experience/Skills:
- Hands-on translational PK/PD modeling experience using Matlab, OSP Suite, Monolix, and/or R.
- Strong experimental design, mathematical problem solving, data analysis/interpretation, and/or statistics.
Preferred Experience/Skills:
- Modeling experience informing biologics/protein therapeutics/peptides discovery/development.
- Interdisciplinary teamwork and collaborative problem solving.
- Expertise developing novel PK/PD, PBPK, QSP, or related mechanistic approaches.
