Role: Senior scientist responsible for developing and characterizing iPSC-derived cellular and disease models, including complex multicellular neuron, astrocyte, and microglia systems, to support neuroscience drug discovery. Responsibilities: lead the design, optimization, and validation of cell-based assays and phenotypic readouts; serve as technical expert for high-content imaging (HCI), including assay development, image acquisition, and data analysis pipelines; train team members and support instrumentation and software; independently plan experiments, troubleshoot, interpret data, and communicate findings; evaluate new models and technologies to enhance capabilities; collaborate with cross-functional teams on therapeutic programs. Requirements: BS/BA with 6+ years, MS/MA with 4+ years, or PhD with 2+ years of relevant experience in neurobiology, cellular assays, or related fields; expertise in iPSC-derived models, especially multicellular systems; strong HCI platform experience (preferably with Operetta, Harmony); proficiency in developing cell-based and functional assays (live-cell, calcium imaging, MEA); background in molecular techniques (flow cytometry, qRT-PCR, RNA-seq, immunocytochemistry); demonstrated scientific independence and ability to lead projects; excellent communication skills. High-Value: focus on neuroscience, neurodegenerative or psychiatric disorders, cell models including neurons, astrocytes, microglia, advanced imaging and data analysis. Work setup: not specified.
