Responsibilities:
- Support statistical programming for late-stage drug/vaccine clinical development; may lead one or more projects.
- Develop and execute statistical analysis and reporting deliverables (safety/efficacy datasets, tables, listings, figures) spanning clinical trials through worldwide regulatory submissions and post-marketing support.
- Design and maintain statistical datasets supporting multiple stakeholder groups (clinical development, outcomes research, safety evaluation).
- Collaborate to ensure project plans are executed efficiently with timely, high-quality deliverables; serve as statistical programming point of contact and knowledge holder across the product lifecycle.
Primary Activities:
- Develop, validate, and maintain analysis/report programming using global/TA standards, departmental SOPs, and good programming practices.
- Maintain and manage project plans including resource forecasting.
- Coordinate activities of a global programming team, including outsourced provider staff.
Qualifications (Minimum):
- BA/BS in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Life Sciences, Engineering (or related) + 5+ years SAS programming in a clinical trial environment; OR MS degree + 3+ years.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Interpersonal, negotiation, written/oral/presentation skills.
- Experience developing analysis/report deliverables for R&D projects.
- Project leadership and independent task completion at project level.
- Significant SAS clinical trial programming expertise (data steps, procedures, SAS/MACRO, SAS/GRAPH) plus systems/database expertise.
- Ability to interpret analysis plans; understanding statistical terminology.
- Familiarity with clinical data management concepts; experience with CDISC and ADaM.
- Process compliance and deliverable quality; strategic thinking and stakeholder requirement anticipation.
Preferred:
- Advanced R (incl. Shiny) and/or Python; Generative AI/emerging tech in programming pipelines.
- R/SOP/SDLC knowledge; regulatory submission experience (electronic deliverables).
- Mentoring/program consistency across protocols; cross-cultural work; outsource-enabled delivery; Microsoft Project planning; process improvement; post-DBL data integrity.
