Senior Scientist, Statistical Genetics

Role: Senior Statistical Geneticist in Analytical Genetics at Alnylam, focused on analyzing biobank-scale genomic data to identify therapeutic targets for RNAi medicines. Responsibilities: perform variant association studies, lead meta-analyses across multiple biobanks, utilize post-GWAS methods for causal gene nomination, drive methodological innovation (e.g., multi-omics, AI/ML), establish data best practices, and publish high-impact research. Requirements: PhD in Statistical Genetics or related field, 3+ years postdoctoral or industry experience, expertise in GWAS/RVAS methods, experience with biobank data processing, multi-ancestry analyses, and software like REGENIE, PLINK, METAL. Proficiency in Linux, Python, R, and cloud genomics platforms necessary. Preferred: strong publication record, cross-functional collaboration skills, and experience with diverse populations. High-Value: human genetics, biobank data (UK Biobank, All of Us, FinnGen), biostatistics, genomics workflows, and bioinformatics tools. Location: onsite in Cambridge, MA.
