Senior Scientist, Statistical Genetics

Role: Senior Statistical Geneticist within Alnylam's Human Genetics team, focusing on large-scale human genetic data analysis to identify RNAi therapeutic targets. Responsibilities include conducting biobank-scale association studies (common and rare variants), leading meta-analyses across multiple biobanks, applying post-GWAS methods (fine-mapping, colocalization, Mendelian randomization), and driving methodological innovation (multi-omics, AI/ML integration). The candidate will establish best practices for data management, promote external scientific visibility, and collaborate cross-functionally. Qualifications: PhD in Statistical Genetics or related field with 3+ years postdoctoral or industry experience; expertise in GWAS, RVAS, and software tools (REGENIE, PLINK); proven success with biobank and multivariate analyses; experience with multi-ancestry datasets, fine-mapping, and cloud genomics workflows; proficient in Linux, Python, R; strong publication record.
