Job Description:
Senior Scientist to join the growing siRNA platform team. Develop, optimize, and execute analytical methods for characterization of siRNA and oligonucleotide therapeutics; serve as the analytical subject matter expert to ensure delivery of high-quality, well-characterized siRNA materials.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize analytical methods for siRNA/oligonucleotides (HPLC, IEX-HPLC, IP-RP-HPLC, LC-MS, UV/fluorescence spectroscopy).
- Perform purity assessment, identity confirmation, quantification, and impurity profiling.
- Develop and implement analytical strategies for novel siRNA modifications, conjugates (e.g., antibody-siRNA), and delivery formats.
- Generate, review, and interpret analytical data with rigor, ensuring data integrity and internal quality compliance.
- Maintain thorough lab documentation (experimental records, SOPs, analytical reports).
- Partner with cross-functional teams (siRNA synthesis, antibody conjugation, screening, CMC).
- Monitor emerging analytical technologies and best practices.
- Present scientific data to internal stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- BS/MS/PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Biology, Biochemistry, or related field; typically 0-4+ yrs (PhD), 8-10+ yrs (MS), or 10-12+ yrs (BS) relevant industry experience.
- Hands-on analytical characterization of siRNA/ASO or related modalities.
- Proficiency in HPLC (RP-HPLC, IEX, IP-RP), LC-MS, and UV spectroscopy.
- Experience with chromatographic/mass spectrometric data analysis software.
- Understanding of RNA chemistry, oligonucleotide modifications, conjugation chemistry.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex analytical problems and improve methods.
- Strong attention to detail; commitment to data quality/integrity.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; present findings.
Position: Senior Scientist I or Senior Scientist II (level commensurate with education/experience).
