Senior Scientist, Regenerative Medicine – Customer Applications

Position Summary
The Regenerative Medicine – Customer Applications Senior Scientist develops innovative products and applications for regenerative medicine and organoid research, improving human pluripotent stem cell (hPSC)-based differentiation and characterization techniques.

Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop products, workflows, and culture optimizations (expansion, differentiation, characterization) for stem cell therapy and organoid research.
- Develop and optimize robust, reproducible differentiation protocols and analytical methods converting iPSCs into cellular products/therapeutics.
- Lead and collaborate cross-functionally to formulate differentiation reagents/protocols for iPSC-derived cell types.
- Serve as subject matter expert in organoids for model development, disease modeling, drug screening platforms, and protocol scale-up.
- Develop cell-based, biochemical, and/or molecular assays to characterize differentiated cells and organoids.
- Plan/perform experiments, analyze data, and present updates to department and leadership.
- Contribute to corporate scientific activities/roadmaps/strategy.
- Develop scientific content (presentations, publications, application notes, webinars) to support Sales/Marketing.
- Apply process design to improve development, manufacturing, and QC.
- Author documentation (SOPs for RUO/GMP, design verification/validation, technical reports).
- Stay current on stem cell/organoid/regenerative medicine developments.
- Provide mentorship and leadership to scientists and research associates.

Qualifications & Experience
- Ph.D. in Biology/Biomedical Engineering/Chemical Engineering or related field; 2+ years industry experience in cell & gene therapy, regenerative medicine, or biomanufacturing.
- Translational experience applying organoid models to disease biology and/or therapeutic screening.
- Process development expertise scaling from discovery to GMP-compliant manufacturing.
- Hands-on adherent cell culture and advanced bioreactor experience for expansion/differentiation.
- Knowledge of autologous/allogeneic cell therapies or differentiation pathways.
- Fluorescence microscopy and assays (RT-PCR, flow cytometry, ELISA, ICC); high-throughput/high-content imaging preferred; CRISPR gene editing and biomaterials a plus.
- Experience developing/validating/verifying workflows under design control (requirements-driven, risk-based).
- Strong iPSC/pluripotent differentiation protocol development focused on clinical and manufacturing applications.

- Technical proficiency with 3D culture systems and imaging/high-throughput screening platforms.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects.
