Senior Scientist, Radiochemistry

Role: Senior Scientist leading radiochemistry and analytical development within Telix's radiopharmaceutical pipeline, supporting late-stage clinical programs for cancer and rare diseases. Responsibilities include designing and executing complex experiments on radiolabeled compounds and bifunctional chelators, developing radioanalytical methods (radio-TLC, HPLC), and providing scientific leadership across discovery and GMP-adjacent development. The role involves close collaboration with Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, and cross-disciplinary R&D teams to facilitate program progression, along with data analysis and technical reporting for regulatory and tech transfer activities. The Senior Scientist will mentor junior staff and uphold laboratory safety, calibration, and operational excellence standards. Qualifications require a PhD with 5+ years or equivalent industry experience, with proven expertise in synthetic organic chemistry, radiochemistry, and radioanalytical method development. Experience handling radioactive materials in R&D or GMP settings, along with strong problem-solving, project leadership, and communication skills, are essential.
