Accountabilities
- Translate sophisticated pharmaceutical process problems into robust mechanistic models, providing actionable insights to accelerate drug development projects.
- Collaborate with experimental scientists from a diverse group of backgrounds to uncover new modelling opportunities and strategically guide experimental design.
- Establish strong, collaborative relationships within the digital and broader product development communities to improve the progressive impact of modelling and simulation.
- Drive organizational digital transformation by advancing standard processes and advocating for the application of ground breaking digital tools, including making them available to agentic AI systems.
- Develop, validate, and deploy modelling and simulation protocols to support scientists across the wider scientific community.
Essential Skills/Experience
- Master’s with 4+ plus years or a PhD in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related discipline, ideally with specialization in process modelling.
- Extensive knowledge of process modelling fundamentals and demonstrable experience applying these principles to the development of industrial-scale products or processes.
- Proficiency in programming and simulation tools (such as Python, Matlab, gPROMS), with a readiness to explore new technologies.
- Strong collaboration, communication, influencing, and networking skills.
Desirable Skills/Experience
- Proven experience within pharmaceuticals, biopharmaceuticals, food, cosmetics, personal care, or consumer goods.
- Experience with one or more of the following techniques: process modelling, discrete element modelling, computational fluid dynamics, system modelling, multiscale modelling, molecular dynamics.
- Comprehensive understanding of process equipment and technology.
- Demonstrated ability to proactively introduce and apply novel modelling approaches to advance product development and manufacturing.
- A track record of scientific publications in the field of modelling and simulation.

The annual base pay for this position ranges from $110,687 to $166,031. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles). Benefits offered included a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
