Purpose of the Role
- Develop a variety of dosage forms (oral, topical, injectable, implant, etc.) and related processes across all stages of development.
- Use innovative approaches for early and late-stage formulation candidates (screening, design, development) based on robust drug product compositions and processes.
- Conduct statistical experimental design and data analysis.
- Author technical reports, support regulatory submissions and patent applications.
- Participate in formulation development teams; interface with project management, manufacturing, quality, and regulatory affairs, and external partners to drive milestones.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Chemistry, or Pharmaceutics.
Required Experience/Skills
- Experience developing formulations.
- Ability to independently design and conduct experiments and analyze data.
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams.
Preferred Experience/Skills
- Innovative idea identification and development.
- Strong verbal and written communication.
- Hands-on experience in pharmaceutical pilot plants.
- Experience formulating pharmaceutical products.
- Solid oral dosage form processing experience (granulation, tablet compaction, film coating).
Compensation/Benefits (if applicable)
- Salary range: $117,000.00β$184,200.00.
- Eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentive (if applicable).
