Clinical Research and Development
Responsibilities:
- Works closely with the ACPRU Investigational Pharmacist.
- Maintain accurate drug accountability: ensure IP-related clinical trial records (receipt, preparation, retention samples, dispensing, return) are maintained per USP, DEA, and GCP requirements; ensure compliance with randomization schedules for blinded studies; verify study set up; ensure pharmacy materials are available, appropriate quality/quantity throughout study execution.
- Maintain accurate inventory of pharmacy and ancillary supplies (e.g., rental pumps, infusion sets, IV fluids).
- Assist with quality audits and regulatory inspections at ACPRU.
- Review SOPs, work instructions, and business process documents for ACPRU pharmacy operations, including quality assurance, security of controlled substances, and disposal of hazardous waste and drugs.
- Review protocols and provide input on study-specific materials/activities impacting ACPRU workflow.
- Review Dose Preparation Instructions and associated study records/templates; collaborate with Pharma Science and Device Development across phases (0–4) at global sites.
- Ensure compliance with federal/state laws, regulations, and policies governing pharmacy operations.
- Communicate effectively with ACPRU staff, AbbVie Management, and external vendors.

Qualifications:
- Experience: BS in Pharmacy (5 years); MS or equivalent (3 years); PharmD (1 year).
- Illinois Licensed Pharmacist.
- Demonstrated ability to learn, understand, and master experimental techniques.
- Ability to multitask and work within aggressive timelines.
- Ability to anticipate pharmacy operation needs.
