Clinical Research and Development
Purpose:
The Molecular Imaging Scientist will lead and support preclinical PET imaging studies, working with state-of-the-art instrumentation, novel PET radioligands, animal models, and therapeutic approaches, with strong matrix collaboration.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate multiple preclinical imaging studies.
- Communicate key findings; contribute to study reports and publications.
- Provide experimental support for preclinical PET imaging in rodents and large animals (radiotracer/compound formulation and administration, image acquisition, blood collection).
- Process blood samples for radiometabolite analysis using HPLC and related methods.
- Operate imaging systems, including Mediso MultiscanTM LFER 150 PET/CT and Mediso nanoScan PET/CT.
- Analyze imaging data using specialized software tools.
- Develop, implement, and maintain high-quality study protocols.
- Ensure imaging equipment is maintained in collaboration with vendor support teams.
Qualifications:
- PhD in neuroscience, pharmacology, biomedical engineering, or related field (typically 4 years); or Masterβs (typically up to 10 years); or Bachelorβs (typically 12 years).
- Demonstrated PET imaging experience in animal models.
- Ability to deliver high-quality data under deadlines in multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong publication record in peer-reviewed international journals.
- Proven collaboration and partnership-building ability.
- Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication.
