Senior Scientist, Peptide Display Technologies

Role: Senior Scientist in Exploratory Chemical Biology at Novartis, focusing on discovering peptide, protein, and small molecule therapeutics using display technologies and molecular engineering. Responsibilities include designing discovery campaigns with phage, mRNA, and yeast display platforms; constructing and characterizing combinatorial libraries; optimizing candidates through iterative selection and biophysical assays; and implementing new workflows and automation to enhance efficiency. Requirements: BS/MS/PhD (within 2 years) in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or related fields; 4+ years of relevant experience, including hands-on expertise in display technologies, library construction, PCR, cloning, and screening methods; strong documentation, organizational, and communication skills. High-value: experience with therapeutic discovery in biotech/pharma, familiarity with biotherapeutic modalities, and drug discovery experience preferred. Location: onsite in San Diego, CA.
