How you’ll make an impact:
- Partner with cross-functional project teams to define key scientific questions addressed by targeted proteomics.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize studies based on urgency and program impact.
- Translate program questions into targeted proteomics experiments; execute, analyze, interpret data, and communicate findings for program decisions.
- Drive TPD research programs using targeted protein mass spectrometry assays on nano-LC and Orbitrap LC-MS systems.
- Generate pharmacodynamic (PD) profiles across cells, tissues, and biofluids from human and preclinical species.
- Develop, optimize, qualify, and transfer targeted proteomics assays to support preclinical and clinical studies.
- Innovate and implement targeted proteomics analysis workflows, including automated enrichment, for sensitive, precise, scalable quantification.
- Lead/oversee proteomics activities at CRO partners (assay transfer, qualification, execution, and data quality oversight).
- Present scientific findings and strategic recommendations to project teams, senior leadership, and external collaborators.
Skills and experience you’ll bring:
- PhD (Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry, or Chemical Biology) with 2+ years targeted, MS-based proteomics experience in industry/startup; or BS/MS with 8+ years relevant experience.
- Targeted proteomics expertise: translating biological/PD questions to strategies; multiplexed PRM/MRM stable isotope–labeled peptide assays using DDA/DIA; immunoaffinity enrichment methods; protein recovery optimization from complex matrices; operation/troubleshooting of nanoLC and Orbitrap MS; quantitative analysis/reporting using Skyline.
- Cross-functional drug discovery leadership and communication; experience preparing regulatory submission documentation.
- Experience managing CRO partnerships and ensuring high-quality PD data aligned to timelines.
Compensation:
- Anticipated base salary range: $115,000–$215,000; eligibility for annual bonus, equity participation, and comprehensive benefits.
