Role Summary
Senior Scientist, Oncology Outcomes Research focusing on health outcomes and real-world strategies within the Oncology portfolio, delivering strategic plans and executing studies to inform medical value propositions for AZ oncology assets.
Responsibilities
- Lead the execution of health outcomes and real-world strategies at global and US market levels as part of an asset team.
- Collaborate with internal partners to support execution and communication of studies.
- Translate scientific knowledge of HEOR into actionable insights for decision-makers.
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience (pharmaceutical industry preferred); graduate degree strongly preferred (PhD, MS, MPH) in health economics, epidemiology, outcomes research, or related fields.
- Required: Understanding and application of epidemiological/health outcomes methodology within the pharmaceutical industry at an international level.
- Required: In-depth expertise with research methods for real-world research and HEOR projects, including pharmacoepidemiologic models.
- Required: Analytical, judgment, and problem-solving skills.
- Travel: 10%.
- Preferred: Advanced scientific degree; 3 years of HEOR or outcomes research experience within industry; strong interpersonal and communication skills.
