Sr. Scientist (Obesity, Metabolism and Muscle Diseases)
Responsibilities:
- Identify and implement novel areas, technologies, and approaches for validating drug targets and target modalities to advance metabolic disease drug discovery
- Design and conduct in vitro assays
- Design and perform in vivo studies in animal models to support target validation and mechanistic understanding
- Analyze data and make scientifically sound conclusions
- Provide timely updates on scientific progress and communicate efficiently across teams and functions
Qualifications / Required:
- PhD with a minimum of three years of post-doctoral research experience
- Broad expertise in biochemistry, molecular biology, in vitro assay development, and in vivo techniques
- Ability to independently design and perform complex in vivo studies, interpret data, and summarize results
- Expertise in at least one metabolism research area (e.g., diabetes, endocrinology, obesity, lipid and energy metabolism)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
Preferred:
- Strong understanding of human and mouse genetics
- Documented strong scientific record
