About The Position
We are seeking talented and highly motivated individuals with a strong background in synthetic organic chemistry to join our medicinal chemistry group to pursue novel small molecules to treat patients with unmet medical needs.
Responsibilities
- Engage in rational structure-based drug discovery enabled by computational and structural biology.
- Design and synthesize novel chemical entities optimized for potency, selectivity, pharmacokinetics, and in vivo efficacy.
- Collaborate with a dynamic multi-disciplinary team, including internal scientists and external collaborators.
- Contribute to patent, report, and scientific publication writing.
Qualifications
- BS or MS with 8+ years pharmaceutical medicinal chemistry industrial experience; or Ph.D. in synthetic organic chemistry with 6+ years pharmaceutical medicinal chemistry industrial experience.
- Deep expertise in synthetic organic and medicinal chemistry; strong track record of solving complex challenges.
- Proven application of structure-based drug design and molecular modeling, including cheminformatics, visualization, and conformational analysis tools, in collaboration with computational chemists.
- Strong understanding of drug discovery principles (SAR, ADME, pharmacology, target biology) and ability to integrate multidisciplinary data for candidate selection.
- Excellent communication skills; ability to present rationale and data and gather competitive intelligence from patents and scientific meetings.
- Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional settings as project lead/co-lead.
