Key Responsibilities:
- Drive the design and generation of genetically engineered mouse models using advanced CRISPR-based genome engineering approaches.
- Develop and implement innovative technologies and approaches for animal genome engineering to advance the platform.
- Lead genetic and molecular characterization of engineered models to ensure scientific rigor and translational relevance.
- Ensure compliance with institutional and regulatory protocols, policies, and guidelines governing animal research.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and apply new insights to strengthen in vivo disease modeling.
- Collaborate with the global GEMs team and external partners to expand model generation capabilities and meet program priorities.

Essential Requirements:
- Ph.D. in a natural/life science discipline (preferably molecular biology, genetics, or developmental biology) with 2+ years relevant hands-on experience in a matrixed environment; or MS with 8+ years directly related experience (preferably industry).
- Demonstrated expertise in genetically engineered animal model generation, including PCR and next-generation sequencing for genetic characterization.
- Strong attention to detail; working knowledge of animal use protocols, welfare compliance requirements, and regulatory standards; experience documenting studies in paper and electronic lab records.

Desirable Requirements:
- Ability to lead and influence programs/platform initiatives in a collaborative, matrixed environment.
- Knowledge of advanced mouse model characterization (transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics).
- Experience managing 1–2 direct reports and supporting talent development.

Compensation/Benefits:
- Salary expected range: $103,600–$192,400 USD/year.
- Performance-based cash incentive; annual equity awards may be considered.
