Role: Senior Scientist leading preclinical research for iPSC-derived thymic cell therapies aimed at immune restoration in aging, immunodeficiency, and transplantation. Responsibilities: design and execute in vivo mouse studies assessing efficacy, safety, pharmacology, biodistribution, and mechanism of action; develop relevant models for immune reconstitution, aging, and tolerance; perform high-dimensional immune profiling using flow cytometry, RNA-seq, and functional assays; collaborate with research, process development, and regulatory teams; generate data supporting candidate selection and IND-enabling studies; interpret and communicate results; mentor junior staff; evaluate emerging literature and therapeutic opportunities. Requirements: PhD in immunology, stem cell biology, regenerative medicine, or related field; 5+ years in preclinical model development; strong knowledge of thymus biology, T-cell development, and immune mechanisms; hands-on experience in rodent handling, immunological assays, flow cytometry, qPCR, histology, and data analysis; excellent communication skills. Preferred: experience in nonclinical development, IND-enabling studies, regulatory writing, and familiarity with immunosenescence, tumor immunology, autoimmunity, and transplantation immunology. Location: onsite in Cambridge, MA with occasional weekend work. Compensation: $127,500 - $170,000, based on experience.
