Clinical Research and Development
Main Responsibilities:
- Drive modelling strategy across multiple cell culture development projects (mechanistic, statistical, hybrid, ML).
- Lead AI solution development/implementation for cell culture processes; translate opportunities into deployed, production-ready tools.
- Own end-to-end model lifecycle (problem framing, data curation, design, validation, deployment, monitoring, continuous improvement).
- Mentor junior scientists/engineers; establish modelling standards, best practices, and governance.
- Present results and recommendations to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Contribute to regulatory filings/technical documentation/CMC packages; ensure scientific rigor.
- Lead and design complex CHO upstream process development studies; manage timelines/deliverables.
- Prepare protocols, troubleshoot, and author technical/scientific reports.

Qualifications:
- Master’s + 2+ years OR PhD + 0+ years in Biotechnology/Biology/Biochemistry/Chemical Engineering/Computational Biology (or related).
- Demonstrated modelling focus with tangible project outputs and deployed solutions.
- Expertise in computational modelling influencing bioprocess decisions.
- Strong statistical/experimental design skills (DoE, PCA/PLS, multivariate analysis).

Preferred:
- Hands-on CHO/mammalian cell culture process development (independent execution).
- Transfer learning and Bayesian optimization.

Technical Skills:
- Mechanistic modelling (kinetic/Monod/metabolic flux) and/or ML (regression, classification, neural networks, GPR).
- AI/ML frameworks; cloud/MLOps for deployment/versioning.
- Bioprocess tools (e.g., MVDA: SIMCA/JMP), LIMS, bioreactor data systems.

Benefits (as stated): healthcare and prevention/wellbeing programs; at least 14 weeks’ gender-neutral parental leave.
