Responsibilities:
- Lead elements of drug discovery programs by providing scientific insight, generating robust experimental data packages, and developing mechanistic disease models.
- Mentor junior scientists through hands-on training, technical guidance, and feedback on experimental design, troubleshooting, and data interpretation.
- Design, execute, and optimize in vitro and in vivo model systems to test therapeutic hypotheses and confirm mechanism of action for candidate small molecules/biologics.
- Synthesize, interpret, and present results in internal and external scientific venues.
Qualifications / Skills:
- PhD in immunology or related discipline with 3+ years relevant industry experience.
- Deep understanding of inflammatory and autoimmune disease mechanisms (e.g., presentations/publications).
- Ability to identify, design, analyze critical experiments and develop next steps to revise hypotheses.
- Expertise isolating, culturing, and functionally evaluating primary mouse and human immune cells.
- Proficiency with immunoassays: multi-color flow cytometry, ELISA (or equivalent), and western blot.
- Demonstrated expertise designing/executing murine inflammation models (study design, tissue processing, ex vivo immunophenotyping).
- Strong collaboration, leadership, and scientific communication (conference abstracts, posters, manuscripts).
Benefits/Compensation (as stated): $160,000β$175,000 USD annually; stock programs, performance-based bonus, and comprehensive benefits package.
