Discover Your Role:
- Work closely with the lead MRI scientist to understand project needs and priorities, troubleshoot experiments, and provide updates on project progress
- Independently execute projects planned with the lead MRI scientist in collaboration with Imaging and relevant therapeutic focus area scientists and specialists
- Operate and optimize high-field MRI for in vivo and ex vivo preclinical rodent studies, including critical evaluation of data acquisition
- Perform relevant animal handling (anesthesia administration, preparing animals for scanning, administering contrast agents, animal monitoring, and preparing tissue for ex vivo imaging)
- Maintain online and physical records of data from ongoing and completed projects

This Role Requires:
- MSc or PhD in Engineering, Biophysics, Biology, Chemistry, or similar field
- 5+ years operating in vivo rodent MRI and 5+ years in vivo mouse/rat handling (anesthesia, injections, tissue processing)
- Prior experience with 3D MRI visualization software (3D Slicer, ITK Snap, or ImageJ)
- Knowledge of basic MRI science and ability to communicate it to a general audience
- Knowledge of mouse and rat anatomy for MRI study design
- Preferred: Bruker ParaVision, MRI protocol development, cardiac/respiratory/functional gating or triggering, and MRI/MRS processing software (VivoQuant, Amira, LCModel, FID-A, FSL, etc.)
- Exceptional critical thinking, attention to detail, scientific rigor; strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines; work independently and collaboratively
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn; passion for biology and helping others; dedication to sharing and collaboration
